A Rush to the Movies!
November 1st marked the start of the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, also known as CPH:DOX. The festival, which is the largest documentary film festival in Scandinavia, will run until November 11th supposedly showcasing more than 200 films most of which cost 75 DKK per ticket. The “festival” offers multiple showings at multiple venues of a majority of the films; some events include a meet-and-greet with various directors as well as other mingling opportunities.
If you have the time, I’d suggest looking at the website for all the details (www.cphdox.dk). I’ve so far managed to stumble across some amazing events such as audio visual presentation by Animal Collective and Abby Portner (hipsters rejoice!) as well as some free screenings in Kongen’s Nytorv Metro.
If I could, I’d watch every single documentary this year’s festival has to offer; sadly, I do not have the money or time do so. For this reason, I’ve devised a small list of 10 documentaries which I will venture out to see.
The Exorcist in the 21st Century (Tuesday 06/11)
