Introducing: CBS Meditation
New students quickly come to the realization that exams and studying are extremely stressful. There are no guaranteed breaks in the semester and when you finally come around Christmas, you either have the first or in worse cases, the second round of exams to worry about. Spending every day in the library can be daunting and mind-numbing. But luckily, a student organisation at CBS tries to combat these feelings and help students develop and maintain a fresh mental balance in their lives.
With an entirely new team and board members this semester, CBS Meditation is taking up the task of aiding CBS Students to find a clear and tranquil space, in the midst of their everyday lives.
Regardless of prior meditation experience, students can join the free weekly guided meditation sessions organized by the association, training their mind to achieve stillness and calmness, the ability to regulate thoughts, and realize that their mind is much like a blue sky: clouds come and go – sometimes more often, sometimes less – but the blue sky is always there, clear and bright.
This semester, CBS Meditation has teamed up with Marie Kronquist in order to provide meditation sessions to all students. Marie is a professional meditation and mindfulness instructor, having coached on awareness, personal growth and teamwork in companies like Novo Nordisk and with executives of companies like Grundfos and J. Walter Thompson.
Before starting a career as a meditation/mindfulness instructor and business coach, Marie played professional basketball in Portugal and England, as well as the Danish National Women’s Team. She also holds an M.Sc. in Education and Communication from the University of Copenhagen.
CBS Meditation is happy to announce their Kick-Off Event planned for October 27th with Marie and the CBS Meditation-team. You can expect an introduction to mindfulness and its importance for your personal and professional life as well as an introductory, hands-on meditation practice.
